The Specialist Sailing Centre
Sailing with us is designed to be as varied and flexible as possible so that every individual's preference and enjoyment is catered for. We have an extensive choice of sailing boats to choose from. With our large and varied fleet there is always a boat available and you'll have the chance to try out the whole range of craft. Whether you're a complete novice, a competent Laser sailor, new to asymmetric sailing or an experienced racer, you can be assured that we will help you learn new skills and improve your sailing technique whilst on holiday with Minorca Sailing.
We organise structured days providing you with group tuition in the mornings and continued instruction in the afternoons with the opportunity to race daily. At the informal briefing on the beach each morning, we'll give you a weather report and outline the possibilities for the day. Depending on wind and weather, you may be sailing inside the bay, perhaps learning a new skill like using the gennaker or a trapeze, improving your race starts or perfecting what you already know.
Within the group sessions your instructor will use a mixture of theory and simulator lessons, on-water coaching, video analysis, and demonstrations throughout the day to enhance your knowledge, sailing skills and racing tactics.
Every afternoon after the group sessions or race we offer additional tuition where you can try out a new boat with an experienced instructor onboard, or concentrate on learning and improving a specific skill or skills. You can also use this time to learn how to windsurf or improve your windsurfing technique.
With the help of our qualified instructors, RYA levels can be achieved and certificates awarded, from Basic Skills through to Performance Sailing, whilst on holiday with Minorca Sailing. Tuition is included, however, the certificates and log books are an additional cost.
