Minorca Sailing – Coronavirus Information

From 27 July, The Foreign & Commonwealth Office currently advises British nationals against all non-essential travel to Spain, including the Balearic and Canary Islands, based on the current assessment of COVID-19 risks in the country.  If you are returning to the UK from Spain you will need to provide your journey and contact details and self-isolate for 14 days.

Financial Protection

We would like to reassure you that we provide full financial protection for our package holidays.  For flight-based holidays this is through our Air Travel Organiser’s Licence number 1248, issued by the Civil Aviation Authority.  For non-flight packages protection is provided by way of a bond held by ABTA (The Association of British Travel Agents), membership number Y5613.

 

If Minorca Sailing is unable to provide you with your holiday.

We will offer you the option of moving your booking to the equivalent date in summer 2021.  Alternatively, if you need a little longer to decide on your new holiday date, we can issue you with a Refund Credit Note.  The money you have paid remains safe as Refund Credit Notes benefit from the same ABTA and ATOL protection as our holidays. Your Refund Credit Note will last until at least 31 March 2021, giving you more time to make your mind up about your future holiday plans.
 

If you are unable to travel because you are unwell or self-isolating

This relates to the capacity of the individual to travel, not to the deliverability of the arrangements.  In this situation usual cancellation charges will apply and you would need to claim from your travel insurance.
