COVID-19

Minorca Sailing – Coronavirus Information

We are following the situation regarding COVID-19, using advice from the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) and relevant authorities, and monitoring how this may affect your holiday with us.

Following Government advice our London office team are all now working remotely.  We are accessing emails and voicemails regularly so please do contact us if you have any questions.  We will be contacting all passengers no later than 3 weeks before their expected departure date to discuss the options available.  If you wish to contact us before this then please leave us a message on enquiries@minorcasailing.co.uk or 020 8948 2106 and we will get back to you as soon as possible.

Financial Protection

We would like to reassure you that we provide full financial protection for our package holidays.  For flight-based holidays this is through our Air Travel Organiser’s Licence number 1248, issued by the Civil Aviation Authority.  For non-flight packages protection is provided by way of a bond held by ABTA (The Association of British Travel Agents), membership number Y5613.

If Minorca Sailing is unable to provide you with your holiday.

We will offer you the option of moving your booking to the equivalent date in summer 2021.  We will be happy to offer the same holiday at the price you have already paid.  In some circumstances we may be able to offer an equivalent holiday at the same price for a later date in summer 2020.
Alternatively, you may wish to choose a summer 2020 holiday that’s cheaper than the one you originally booked, in which case you’ll pay the lower amount; or if you choose a holiday that’s more expensive than your original booking, you’ll need to pay the difference in price.
If you need a little longer to decide on your new holiday date, we can issue you with a refund credit note.  The money you have paid remains safe as refund credit notes benefit from the same ABTA and ATOL protection as our holidays. Your refund credit note will last until 31 March 2021, giving you more time to make your mind up about your future holiday plans.
For all alterations there will be no admin charge.

If you are unable to travel because you are unwell or self-isolating

This relates to the capacity of the individual to travel, not to the deliverability of the arrangements.  In this situation usual cancellation charges will apply and you would need to claim from your travel insurance.

We are frequently monitoring the latest updates and working with the relevant authorities to ensure that we can continue to provide you with your holiday, and make sure you are able to enjoy a superb sailing experience with us.
